I remember the first time I met Roxanne- we were 7 years old and it was 3 weeks after my family had moved into the little house on Crestview Ave. We were very close growing up (which could be said of all the Abraham and Bower children). Rock as I called her was patient, kind, funny, thoughtful and loyal. A true friend who shared with my our love of reading and poetry often sharing poems we found. I remember when we were freshmen in high school and I started dating Mike Koperta (?) - I brought Roxanne on every date we went on - LOL I remember walking up the road from her house to go visit her Grandmother who she was so close to - it was nice to sit and watch the two of them interact together. The first time I ever went camping was with Roxanne and the Bower family to Black Lake - it was so much fun. We were friends all during school and for a time after until I moved to Florida. I remember when she gave birth to her first son and lived in the little apartment on Herkimer road - she was so happy and complete when she held that baby - she was a natural. I didn’t know the adult woman Roxanne became but I do know all those wonderful unique qualities that made her so special then she carried with her into adulthood. Love ya Rock! Say hi to George for me!
