CHITTENANGO . . . William T. "Willy" Butler, 52, of 5740 State Route 13, Chittenango, passed away on Friday, September 30, 2022, at The Grand in Chittenango, following a lengthy illness. He was born on March 20, 1970, in Syracuse, the son of the late William E. and Marion (Featherly) Butler. Willy has lived in the Chittenango and Perryville area all of his life, attending the Chittenango and Cazenovia schools. He worked for Daly Landscaping in Kirkville, and had previously worked for Crouse Construction in Chittenango. Willy enjoyed fishing, mowing lawns, bonfires, and spending time with his family. Surviving are: two sons, Michael Butler of Syracuse, and Matthew Butler of N. Carolina; three brothers, Jerry Butler of Chittenango, Bruce Butler of Lakeport, and Scott and Dorothy Butler of Lakeport; two sisters, Lucille Bort of Chittenango, and Melissa and Tracy Haynes of Fulton; two grandchildren, Lilyana Cooper, and Ryland Cooper; as well as aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Big thanks to Willy's best friend, Shelly Frye. Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, October 15, 2022, at the J. Homer Ball Funeral Home, Inc., 201 James Street, Canastota. At Willy's request there will be no funeral service.
