Obituary of Rollin C. Case

Rollin C. Case, 76, of Canastota, passed away on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at Oneida Health Hospital after a brief illness with his family at his side.
He was born in Canastota, NY, on March 26, 1947, the son of the late Charles and Joyce (Conley) Case. Rollin graduated from Canastota High School. On December 24, 1966, in Clockville, NY he married the former Carol A. “Sue” Cary. His beloved wife passed away on February 5, 2020, after more than fifty-three years of marriage.
Rollin spent his early years farming with his brothers on the family farm until he started his career with Stickley Furniture Company in Manlius, NY; he retired from Stickley after over twenty-seven years of service.
Rollin proudly served in the US Army from 1966 to 1968 as a Vietnam Veteran. He was honorably discharged after his service with the 167th Signal Company.
He enjoyed spending time with his beloved wife of 52 years, traveling, eating breakfast daily with good friends, going to Lake Placid to watch ice skating, attending Lucille Ball events, and spontaneous drives to Old Forge for lunch. He enjoyed indulging in all her cooking and baked goods. He was entertained by watching western movies.
He is survived by his two daughters, Melissa Case of Canastota, and Stephanie and Raymond Ballard of Canastota; two sons, Wayne and Tammi Case of Cazenovia, and Douglas Case and Michelle Sandford both of Canastota; Grandchildren, Justin Rose, Tabatha Ballard, Amber Ballard, Gabrielle Ballard, Brandon Case, Gabrielle Meade, Joshua Knapp, Haley Jones, Alissa Case, Jesse Case, Levi Case, Everleigh Sue Case; several great grandchildren; and a brother David and Carol Case of Canastota. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws. He was preceded in death by a brother, Kennard Case.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Mr. Case’s funeral service which will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 24, 2023, at Peterboro Cemetery on Peterboro Road in Peterboro, NY.
