ONEIDA . . .
Patricia A. "Pattie" Kierstead, 70, of 4883 State Route 365, Oneida, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at the Oneida Healthcare Center, following a brief illness.
She was born on May 5, 1953, in Concord, MA, the daughter of the late Robert "Hank" and Opal (Costigan) Kierstead.
Pattie spent her early years in Littleton, MA, graduating from Littleton High School in 1971. She later lived in Manchester, NH, Rockport, ME, and Canastota, before moving to Oneida in 2019.
She worked at Turning Stone Casino in Verona for 15 years, retiring in 2020.
Pattie was a talented musician, playing at various venues, and had won several talent competitions. She had a great sense of humor, and enjoyed music, history, her pets, and spending time with her family. Pattie was a huge New England Patriots fan.
She was a member of the Women's Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Littleton Post #5665.
Pattie was of the Catholic faith.
Surviving are: two sisters and a brother-in-law, Victoria and Harry Stepanian of Canastota, Bonnie Pankhurst of Vernon; nieces and nephews, Robert Plourde, William Plourde, Colleen Lewis, Mark Kling and Davina Lewicki. Pattie was predeceased by two sisters, Laurie Olson, and Gail Kierstead; and her longtime companion, Janet Spurlock.
At Pattie's request, there will be no calling hours or funeral service. Arrangements are under the supervision of the J. Homer Ball Funeral Home, Inc., 201 James Street, Canastota.
