I’m Gloria’s, niece ,Deanna. My father was her brother Edward. I got to know my Aunt Gloria in 2013 when she came out to visit my dad in Texas.
She was a wonderful person, and I got to know her as my aunt. I can say in all honesty that we connected with each other that very first meeting. She came out every year after that until my dad‘s passing in 2018. I would fly in from Phoenix to Texas to spend time with her and my dad until it was time for her to go home.
She loved my dad, and that made her endearing to me.
Her and I would talk at least every 4 to 6 weeks after my dad past until she became ill.
After she became ill, I would write her letters and send her cards, so she would know I was thinking about her.
I got to know some of my New York family through her.
She was very beautiful inside and out.
Aunt Gloria, I will miss you and our talks. I know your family was waiting on you with open arms when you went home.
I love you very much. You will always Be with me in my heart. Say hi to my dad for me.
