Obituary of Victor W. Savage

CANASTOTA, NY….. Victor W. Savage, 60, of Canastota, passed away on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at his home with his family at his side. He was born in Syracuse, NY, on April 22, 1964, a son of Judith C. (Sturgen) Savage and the late Paul E. Savage. He attended local schools, graduating from Canastota High School in 1982 and later attending Mohawk Valley Community College (MVCC). Mr. Savage was a proud U.S. Air Force, and a U.S. Army National Guard veteran where he trained to be a Histology Technician. He held a position for several years with Carolina Urology Partners in Huntersville, NC, where he used his training from the service, where he was a Histology Technician until he retired. Victor enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, making wine, and reading. His greatest passion however was gardening and could usually be found working in his many vegetable and flower gardens. He is survived by his mother, Judith Savage; a sister and brother-in-law, Melody and Trevor Morris, and a brother and sister-in-law, Paul, Jr. and Joyce Savage all of Canastota. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Victor was preceded in death by a daughter, Olivia Barbara Savage; and a sister, Christine Lesher. In keeping with Victor’s wishes there will be no public services.
