Obituary of Renee M. Davis

CANASTOTA . . . Renee M. Davis, 69, of 7738 Wise Road, Canastota, passed away on Wednesday, August 28, 2024, at Oneida Health, following a lengthy illness. She was born on May 29, 1955, in Canastota, the daughter of the late Robert Sr. and Earla (Orton) DeFazio. Renee lived in the Canastota area all of her life, and was a 1973 graduate of Canastota High School. She retired from Briggs & Stratton in Sherrill after working there for many years. Renee loved her animals, watching cooking shows, and spending time with her family. She married Bradley K. Davis on May 30, 1975, in Canastota. Brad passed away on February 2, 2012. Surviving are: one daughter, Jessica Davis of Canastota; one stepson, Bradley Davis, Jr. of Mattydale; one stepdaughter, Michelle Davis of Durhamville; one brother, Robert A. Jr. and Diane DeFazio of Canastota; two sisters, Diane and Richard Poppleton, and Jody and Ray Popple of Canastota; eight grandchildren, Janelle Davis, Brynn Davis, Dylan Davis, Sean Davis, Amanda Hall, Erica Hall, Nathan Hall, and Zackary Hall; several great grandchildren; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. Renee was predeceased by one son, Scott B. Davis. Calling hours will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, September 5, 2024, at the J. Homer Ball Funeral Home, Inc., 201 James Street, Canastota. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, September 6, 2024, at the funeral home. The Rev. Anthony F. Tosti will officiate. Burial will be in Lenox Rural Cemetery, Canastota.
