Obituary of Jason A. Bushnell

SYRACUSE . . . Jason Aaron Bushnell, 38, of the Town of Clay, left his heart-broken family on Tuesday, April 16, 2019, at Crouse Hospital, due to complications from a brain aneurysm. He was born on May 23, 1980, in Syracuse, the son of David and Patricia (Gale) Bushnell. Jason was a 1998 graduate of West Genesee High School, and later attended OCC and Niagara University. He was a Jack-of-all-Trades, but his passion was cooking. Jason was the Executive Chef at McNamara's Pub in Camillus, and Camillus Hills Country Club. Jason had, also, been the Manager of Slider's and Insomnia Cookies on Marshall Street, and was currently the Manager of Home Town Pizza in Baldwinsville. He previously managed the setup group at Home Depot stores all over the North East Region for Bobrow Palumbo. Jason lived a full life in the short time he was with us, and will always be remembered for his kind heart, generous spirit, and his mishaps on the golf course. Over the years, Jason has opened his heart and his home to many friends in need; something that he and his wife Holly have in common. As he did in life, leave it to Jason to find a way to continue giving of himself by donating his organs to countless recipients in need. Surviving are: his wife, Holly (Vittorio); two stepchildren, Anthony and Angelina Ciciarelli; his parents, Dave and Patty Bushnell; one sister, Jill (Bill) Myers; two brothers, David Bushnell, and Ian (Nicole) Bushnell; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. At Jason's request, memorial services will be private. However, he also wants all to attend a big *** party to celebrate his life, which will be held on his birthday, Thursday, May 23rd, beginning at 5 p.m. at Average Joe's Beernasium, 2119 Downer Street, Baldwinsville.
