MUNNSVILLE . . .
George Warner, 93, of 5671 Middle Road, Munnsville, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, December 24, 2024, at Oneida Healthcare, following a brief illness.
He was born on May 30, 1931, in the Town of Fenner, the son of the late John "Jack" Warner and Harriet (Whaley) Warner Bellino.
George spent his early years in Canastota, attending the Canastota schools.
He lived in Munnsville most of his life, first doing construction work for Agway in Oneida, and later owned and operated Warner Construction Company for 38 years, retiring in 1999.
George was a member of the Stockbridge United Methodist Church in Munnsville.
He enjoyed hunting, the outdoors, being at camp, playing cards, and spending time with his family.
George married Catherine Franklin on July 27, 1951, in Munnsville. Catherine passed away on March 26, 2012.
Surviving are: two daughters and a son-in-law, Gail and Gary Fallon of Deland, FL, and Diane Warner of Chittenango; four grandchildren, Melvin "Bub" and Candace Fisher, Erin and Nick Menza, Monica and Jon Swift, and Greg and Jennifer Fallon; fifteen great grandchildren; two brothers, John Warner of Whitelaw, and Robert Bellino, Sr. of Whitelaw; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Lucetta Barber of Kirkville, and Judy and John Pinard of Whitelaw; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. George was predeceased by a son, George G. Warner; a grandson, Shane Warner; four brothers, Roger Warner, Edward Warner, Lawrence Warner, and James Warner; and two sisters, Joyce Warner, and Kathryn Humennyji.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, January 2, 2025, at the American Legion Post #54, 6311 East Hill Road, Munnsville. John McInerney will officiate. A Celebration of Life Reception will follow from 2 to 4 p.m. Burial will be in Stockbridge Cemetery, Munnsville. Arrangements are under the supervision of the J. Homer Ball Funeral Home, Inc., 201 James Street, Canastota.
